In Person Meeting at the Burton @ 7-7.30 Competition "Night Life"

Definition - "Taking photos at events like parties and nightclubs, often capturing people dancing and watching DJs.  Also including photos of streets, the beauty which the naked eyes cannot see eg  the trail of the fast moving cars"

Email Competition "Hands"

Definition - "Taking pictures of hands, either on their own or as part of a larger image, to reveal personality, tell a story, or add relatability to an image"

Definition - "Separates the main subject of a photo from the background, making the subject more prominent and drawing the viewer's eye"

Email Competition "Science Fiction"

Definition - "Creates a vision of the future, often through the use of cutting-edge science. Science fiction photography can be utopian or dystopian, and can reflect the photographer's feelings about the future"

Definition - "The original image should be taken on a film, not digital camera. Digital processing can be applied to the image afterwards. Members are welcome to bring their camera/negative to the meeting"

Definition - "Taking pictures of fires for a variety of purposes, including firefighting, documenting crime scenes, or capturing flames for creative purposes"

Definition - "captures the activities and products of the harvest season, such as the work of farmers in fields, the produce at farmer's markets, or the crops themselves"

Email Competition "Textures"

Definition - "focuses on capturing the surface quality of objects in a frame, such as their colour, shape, and depth. The goal is to make the texture the main subject of the image"
